At CLM we are passionate about outworking our faith in Jesus in practical ways - serving those in need as we seek to make a positive difference in Coventry and beyond.

Rather than launching our own ‘CLM Projects’ to show compassion and address need, we have taken the step of working proactively in unity and partnership with other churches and organisations. Accordingly, we are now actively involved in a number of different projects and expressions of mission - giving financially and encouraging members of the CLM congregation to be involved.

CLM Foodbank Centre

On a Wednesday afternoon between 1pm and 3pm we open a Foodbank Centre where we support people in need.

GO!

GO! is our annual event where hundreds of CLM people head out in to Coventry to sharing Jesus through compassion, love and evangelism!

Missions Partners

Please see below a list of CLM’s Missions Partners with whom we are proud to play an active role

  • Coventry Foodbank is part of Feed the Hungry and supports those who are struggling to put food on their table. The project also connects people

    with other agencies such as Citizens Advice, housing support officers, children’s centres, health visitors, social services and some local charities.

    There are a wide range of volunteer opportunities with the Coventry Foodbank. Donations of food can also be given at CLM every Sunday and we regularly share information about which items are most needed.

  • Carriers of Hope have been working for over ten years with refugees and asylum seekers in Coventry. Over 1500 families, from over 60 different countries, have registered with Carriers of Hope’s services and have received support. Donations of toys, clothes and other household items can be taken along on a Tuesday morning to Hillfields Baptist Church.

    Over the last couple of years, it has been great to see a number of different Life Groups and individuals from CLM volunteer to help sort donations and be involved with this excellent project in other ways.

    Carriers of Hope

  • Christians Against Poverty (CAP) supports people from across Coventry who are seeking to help themselves become debt free. Through support from the CAP team, as well as volunteer befrienders, many lives have been impacted. CAP is often looking for more volunteers to support their work.

    CLM regularly run the CAP Money Management course which provides methods and guidance to help keep your finances in order and manage your money well.

  • Hope for Justice exist to bring an end to modern slavery by preventing exploitation, rescuing victims, restoring lives, and reforming society.

  • Good Neighbours connects lonely older people to befrienders, building positive community relationships across the city. It was developed by local churches (via HOPE Coventry and Together for Change new link below)

    Together for change

    to reduce isolation and improve wellbeing amongst older people. Volunteers can become befrienders and visit people in their homes, go for short walks, take them along to activity groups, and much more.

  • GUARDIAN BALLERS®™ is a mental and emotional wellbeing service that is empowering people through Basketball and Educational sessions to BALL (improve in and enjoy Basketball), BE (greater mental and emotional wellbeing) and make their community BETTER (practical volunteer experiences).

    The organisation is tackling the disproportions in mental health, sporting, and socio-economic statistics by focusing (not exclusively, but intentionally) delivery on certain communities: Black, Asian and Minority Ethnicities, those from Lower Socio-Economic backgrounds, and Females

    Guardian Ballers

  • The Aziz Partnership is collection of churches united by a desire to offer meaningful and coordinated support to a team on the ground in the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon, showing Christ’s love to Syrian refugees in their homes and neighbourhoods. The partnership supports the leaders, ministries and members of True Vine Church (Zahlé). Teams from the partner churches take trips to directly support this work.

  • Home for Good is a charity dedicated to finding a home for every child who needs one by co-ordinating and resourcing a rapidly growing network of people, churches and local movements across the UK who are raising awareness of the needs of vulnerable children and young people, inspiring individuals to explore fostering and adoption and equipping churches to understand and support.
