Foodbank: Feed the Hungry Packing Event

Saturday 6 June
10.00am - 12.00pm | 1.00pm - 3.00pm

At the main Foodbank Warehouse, help Feed the Hungry pack 10,000 meals in just 2 hours (a total of 20,000 meals over the day), to send to Zimbabwe, to feed over 15,700 children in Epworth through local schools.

AGE GUIDELINES: Open to anyone and good for families.  All under 18's must be with an adult.

Sharing Jesus

Saturday 6 June
10.00am - 1.00pm | 1.00pm - 4.00pm

We will be heading into the city centre to offer members of the public an opportunity to have a conversation about faith and offer prayer.

AGE GUIDELINES:  All under 18's must be with an adult at all times as this project interacts directly with members of the public.

Hamper Packing

Saturday 6 June
10.00am - 12.00pm | 1.00pm - 3.00pm

Put together a yummy hamper full of delights. Then head out from CLM, to take these food hampers to local people around church and beyond, to bless them.

AGE GUIDELINES: Open to anyone. All under 18's must be with an adult.

Family Crafts

Saturday 6 June
10.00am - 12.00pm | 1.00pm - 3.00pm

Have fun making cards and crafts to take to neighbours and friends or family. A great way to include little ones and big ones alike in blessing our city.

AGE GUIDELINES: Open to anyone. All under 18's must be with an adult. You must stay with your child at this project.

Litter Picking

Saturday 6 June
10.00am - 12.00pm | 1.00pm - 3.00pm

A great option for everyone no matter how old you are. Grab a litter picker, hi-vis jacket and gloves and head out to tidy our city. Last year people on this project also had opportunities to speak to the public about why they were doing this.

Carriers of Hope Allotment

Saturday 6 June | 10.00am - 4.00pm

Help Carriers of Hope tidy their Allotment. Carriers of Hope are a local charity that supports refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants and provides furniture and household items, baby equipment and toys to hundreds of families across the city. They also have an allotment where they grow fresh fruit and vegetables to use in their weekly food hub. Help them tidy, weed and water their allotment to support this local charity. 

AGE GUIDELINES: 8+ Only. All under 18's must be accompanied by an adult.

Good Neighbours Gardens

Saturday 6 June | 10.00am - 3.00pm

Good Neighbours support lonely and isolated over 50's in the city by recruiting volunteer befrienders. We will be going to some of their clients' gardens to give them a good tidy up and chat to them. We aim to brighten up the clients' homes and their day.

Henley Green Primary School

Help clear, tidy, paint, weed and plant outdoor areas at Henley Green. This will be a fun time making the outdoor spaces a little brighter to bless the children in our city. This is a project if you really want to get practical and get stuck in.

Help clear, tidy, paint, weed and plant outdoor areas at Bluecoat. This will be a fun time making the outdoor spaces a little brighter to bless the children in our city. This is a project if you really want to get practical and get stuck in.

Naul’s Mill Park

Help the friends of Naul's Mill Park tidy up, litter pick and weed. 
Naul's Mill Park is an important green space in the heart of Coventry's inner city. With impressive historical roots dating back to the 12th Century, Friends Of Naul's Mill Park are committed to respecting, nurturing and celebrating this beautiful green space.

Prison Ministry - Gardening at Murray Lodge

Saturday 6 June | 10.00am - 4.00pm

Langley Trust is a national Christian charity that works with prison leavers. Their ‘vision is of a society where no-one is unfairly disadvantaged because of their past.’ Help create a ‘growing area’ and tidy the garden at Murray Lodge, a Langley Trust supported living home local to CLM. Guardian Ballers

Saturday 6 June | 9.00am - 3.00pm

Guardian Ballers, one of CLM’s Mission Partners, is a mental health and wellbeing service that exists to empower young people to become happy, healthy and community-transformers through Basketball. This basketball and wellbeing project will be based in Manor Farm Estate in Coventry and will involve working with young people from the local community. Carriers of Hope Warehouse

Saturday 6 June | 10.00am - 4.00pm

Help Carriers of Hope sort and tidy their warehouse. Carriers of Hope are a local charity that supports refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants and provides furniture and household items, baby equipment and toys to hundreds of families across the city. Supporting them through tidying their warehouse helps them to distribute these items more easily.  

AGE GUIDELINES: 13+ only. All under 18's must be with an adult.

Reset the Building Team

Saturday 6 June | 4.30pm - 6.30pm

Help reset CLM Central ready for the Sunday services. This will include tidying up, cleaning, moving chairs and more. Being on this team will really help the end of our big day finish well. There might even be a few extra tasty treats to keep us going.
